Jewellery Classes with Jo

What does the price include?
Refreshments, sterling silver & tuition.
Silversmithing 101 (Half Day, 3 hours) ~ £150
Excellent taster session to give you an idea of the processes involved in making silver jewellery. You will design a simple yet unique sterling silver pendant, bangle, ring or earrings to take home, learning and utilising various techniques such as soldering silver, texturing, sanding, filing and finishing. This course is aimed at people with little or no experience of working with silver, and limited free time!
Silver Ring Making (2 hours) ~ £85
A great opportunity to take time out and make a sterling silver ring. You will design a simple yet unique sterling silver ring to take home, learning and utilising various techniques such as soldering silver, texturing, sanding, filing and finishing. This course is aimed at people with little or no experience of working with silver, and limited free time! Great for hen parties or for a birthday experience.
(Option to make a gold ring, please enquire regarding price).
Silversmith Academy (4 week course, 2 hours per week) ~ £460
A great opportunity for a much more in-depth exploration into silversmithing. Over a 4-week period, you will create your own designs and learn step-by-step how to make them in sterling silver, practicing various techniques such as soldering silver, texturing, sanding, filing and finishing (and potential to add a stone too, or an element of decorative design). This course is aimed at beginners, who would like a more detailed experience of silversmithing, tailored to their own designs.
Intended as a 1-2-1 class, but if you want to book with a friend or partner, 2 people per session can be booked - prices per person still apply. Dates to be agreed with Jo, but can take place most days of the week with some weekend and evening slots, depending on availability.
The price includes use of equipment, tuition and the silver for agreed projects over the 4-week course. Weekly payment is possible - please enquire here.
Silver by the Sea (Half Day, 4 hours) ~ £195
A creative half-day class, starting off at the beach, for a meditative walk and finding inspiration for a special piece to make, designing a simple yet unique sterling silver pendant, bangle, ring or earrings. Then back to the studio to learn and utilise various techniques such as soldering silver, texturing, sanding, filing and finishing. This course is aimed at people with little or no experience of working with silver, and limited free time!in-depth exploration into silversmithing.

Make Your Own Wedding Rings (3 hours) ~ £300 per couple
A great opportunity to make each other's wedding bands for the big day! An amazing keepsake and experience to treasure forever, you will learn how to make your own bands, utilising various techniques such as soldering, texturing, sanding, filing and finishing.
